It is a summation of what we know. And there is a lot that we still don’t know. But the standard model is a good start. I would look for extra large dimensions as a way forward.
Excellent piece! I, for one, am most willing to pay taxes to fund and support ALL forms of 'non-practical' research, and see what comes out. Better that than funding wars.
Nothing wrong with the data but the overall conclusions driven by an immovable apriori commitment to naturalism and materialism covering for atheism are grossly misguided. Here is a better answer:
Is the one that I created by integrating all of the proper physics in a fully noncontradictory manner and had to add a few remaining noncontradictions to create The Final Theory of Physics that solved everything in a completely noncontradictory manner. It is why I have the highest earned ego in Mankind's entire history.
Very interesting article.
As long as there are issues not explained by existing theories, it is worthwhile to develop others.
I like the criteria:
Must explain what existing theories explain
Must explain at least one non-explained issue.
Must allow to make testable predictions
Many thanks!!
Absolutely excellent article - informationally and convincingly!

Perhaps it’s time to take another look at what ancient civilizations had already understood and hold it up to what modern theory has so far discovered

I thought Dirac's original conception was of a negative-energy electron, which was only later reinterpreted as a positive-energy positron.
A lot of words for a 'want to be' explanation ... and the 'theories' do not prove anything other as this:
'We do not know anything but we have illusions.'
And that's it.
That's why they're called "theories" 😊
